I got up this morning with a deep pain in my stomach - I knew I had to go and take the very long walk to the mailbox to see my precious son's obituary in the paper. It sure was tough to include everything - if we have missed anyone we are forever sorry. We were told to have it to our funeral director by 1:30 yesterday and I kept putting it off - I just didn't want to write it and say goodbye to our loving son. All in all - I think it gives a good representation of our son's life. He will be forever missed!
He was also survived by the following aunts and uncles: Staci (Cowan) Kauman, Jenny Duke, Karla and Doug Dehnke, Beth and Dan Marcus, Pete and Lori Stanley, along with over 12 cousins.

I just wanted you to know I am thinking of you today. I am so sorry for your loss of your son. My sister follows your blog..her daughter also has infantile spasms. You have been a real inspiration and help to her. You will be in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteRandi-
ReplyDeleteI am so very sorry to read of Brextin's passing. I can't even imagine what you must be going through right now. People can say all the common supportive phrases, but overall it is just unfair.
I love reading Brextin's blog and hearing about all the ways you were fighting the fight as his warrior mom. God bless you for your strength. Thank you for sharing Brextin's story. You have touched many.
We are thinking of you and praying for Brextin here in White Bear Lake.

Sorry to hear about Brextin! What an inspirational little boy. Looks like he had an amazing family that loved him very much and did everything possible for him.
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you and your family!

Randi,
ReplyDeleteMy heart truly aches for you this Mother's Day. I can't imagine what you've been through nor how you're feeling right now. But I agree with the other post that your blog and courage and sharing of Brextin's amazing experiences, challenges, struggles and triumphs have likely touched so many and given so much hope and comfort. I have friends with a high special needs child and from them have learned how lonely that path can feel. Thank you for fighting the good fight for
your son- may God lift up your family and give you comfort and peace as
you find your way forward. You'll be in my prayers, Randi.
Much love and support,
Stefanie Fawcett
Stay strong Randi & Andy...I can not imagine how difficult this has to be for you and my heart breaks for you both. I wish there was a magic wand that would make the pain go away, or make everything better, however God is the only one who holds that wand for us. He will help you through this and all the love and support you have around you right now will help you too. Brextin is now able to run, and play and talk, only he is doing it up in Heaven with God. One thing my Grandmother always told me was God takes us when he needs us, and God must have needed another beautiful angel so he took Brextin. I can almost see God putting his hands on you both telling you that you have done an amazing job with Brextin, and that now you need to rest and know that He is taking care of him for you.
ReplyDeleteYou know that I am here for you if you need anything.
God will get you through this...
