I am thinking about creating a scholarship in Brextin's name and offering it to those students who have suffered from epilepsy and who have attended the school in which I teach at.
We would like to thank all of his therapist and all of the many other parents who have connected with while he was with us - I have met a ton of amazing people!!
Alex and I will try to make it on Monday, Mrs. Stanley. Our families send their deepest sympathies, as do we. I am so very sorry for your loss.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry for your loss, Mrs. Stanley. I can't even begin to imagine what you are feeling. I will definitely do what I can to be there on Monday. I send all my love.
ReplyDeleteBrextin such an adorable boy, I'm truly sorry for your loss...he's an angel in heaven but I think you are also an an angel on earth while taking very good care of Brextin. My prayers are with you..

Randi and Family, God bless you all. I read your blog after seeing your comments on the infantile spasms yahoo group and wanted to let you know your family is in our prayers. My son with IS and now LGS is 3 1/2, and our experiences are very similar. Brextin was blessed with a wonderful mother and lots of love.
ReplyDeleteAndy and Randi-
ReplyDeleteI created a poem, hope you like it.
You may have never seen my eyes full of glee
Nor my desire to be like others.
To run, jump, and just play outside
Hunting and fishing with dad, or loving to learn with mom at my side.
Braden, brother, we never had a chance to bond
protecting each other through adolesence and beyond.
My parents gave all their devotion and love
but my fight for life goes now unresolved.
Thank you all for keeping faith
My time has come, a higher power calls
You may never know my favorite toy,
I'll always be a Stanley boy....

What a great idea to set up a scholarship in Brextin's name. What a wonderful way to keep his memory alive, and to remind the world that there exsists in heaven, a beautiful and amazing little boy. I am so sorry that you have to be seperated from him now...I cannot imagine the agony. I have a son who is 3, he has IS as well. I believe that someday you will be with Brextin again, but until then, I pray for stregnth for you and your family.

Mr. and Mrs. Stanley and Braydon,
ReplyDeleteI was so sad when I heard the news about Brextin. You are in my thoughts. I think it is very inspiring that you have kept a blog about Brextin all this time; I didn't find out about it until just now, but I have been going back and reading the other entries.
Take care, and once again, you are in my thoughts and I am very sorry.

Andy, Randi and Braydon,
ReplyDeleteSo very sorry to learn of your loss. Brextin touched so many peoples lives in his short life time. He will be remembered by many. He had the best parents ever, you both gave him all the love and care possible. I looked at his pictures, videos and followed this blog. It always made me smile to watch the videos, I had seen his face before, it is that of his Dad, such an incredible resemblance. He is your guardian angel now.
Love,
Lori Stanley Williamson and family
